On May 26, 2021 The Township Committee of the Township of Wall, Monmouth County, New Jersey authorized, by Resolution 21-0512, The Township of Wall Planning Board to undertake a preliminary investigation and conduct a public hearing and to then make a recommendation as to whether the following areas/properties qualify for designation as an Area in Need of Redevelopment without Condemnation pursuant to N.J.S.A 40a:12A-1 et seq.
The area is generally located throughout the Township at existing Motel sites in Wall Township and consists of the following blocks, lots, and addresses:

Pursuant to this authorization, the Planning Board has engaged its professionals in the preparation of a preliminary investigation to determine whether the above referenced areas of the Township meet the criteria to be designated as in need of Redevelopment without Condemnation. A redevelopment area determination shall not authorize the municipality to exercise the power of eminent domain to acquire any property in the delineated area.
The Planning Board has prepared through its professional The Redevelopment Study and Preliminary Investigation Report: Motel Sites, which contains maps showing the boundaries of the potential Redevelopment area and the location of properties included therein and provides a statement setting forth the basis for the investigation.
The Redevelopment Law requires that the Planning Board conduct a public hearing on whether the referred Study Area or portions thereof shall be designated as a “Non-Condemnation Redevelopment Area” prior to making its determination. Accordingly, the Wall Township Planning Board shall conduct a public hearing on Monday, March 7, 2022 beginning with a Workshop Meeting at 7:00 PM with a Regular Meeting to immediately follow at the Wall Township Municipal Building, located at 2700 Allaire Road Wall, NJ. Members of the public may attend, ask questions, cross-examine, and/or make comments, and/or present witnesses as allowed by law.
Documents are available for public review at the Land Use Office and in the Office of the Municipal Clerk in the Wall Township Municipal Building located at 2700 Allaire Road, Wall, New Jersey, Monday thru Friday (except Holidays), between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
