No. It is the policy of the State Office of Vital Statistics that vital record information is not to be given out over the phone.
Applications are made in the municipality where the spouses live if they live in New Jersey (if they live in different towns, couple may choose which town). Couples who live outside of New Jersey, must apply in the town they will be married. If they are applying in Wall Township, an appointment should be made to ensure the availability of a registrar.
