The Township Engineer serves as the department head for the Land Use Department, Construction Department, and Code Enforcement Department. He provides technical support on capital improvement projects ranging from concept development through engineering design and construction inspection. The Engineer is also involved in the review of development applications before the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment, as well as permits for new construction and road openings.

• Orchard Park Tennis Court Renovations: In 2014, three tennis courts were renovated at Orchard Park.  The renovations included the removal of old fencing, preparation of the old deteriorated court surfaces, new overlay court pavement with color coated surfaces, new perimeter fencing, and new netting and hardware. 
• NJDOT Municipal Aid Grant (Ramshorn Road Phase I)
  In 2011, the Township Engineer submitted a successful grant application to the NJDOT and was awarded $160 million to repave parts of Ramshorn Road.  The repaving was completed in 2012.
• Annual Roadway RePavings: The Township Engineer coordinates the annual repaving of roadways throughout the Township.  In accordance with Township Ordinance, no street openings are allowed for a period of five years upon completion of these street pavings.
